மறைவு கடந்த நம்பிக்கை: இறந்த விசுவாசிகள் அனைவரின் நினைவு நாள் மறையுரை

உயிர்த்தெழுதலே நம் நம்பிக்கை!

இறந்த விசுவாசிகள் அனைவரின் நினைவு நாளாகிய இன்று, நம்மை விட்டுப் பிரிந்த நம் அன்புக்குரியவர்கள், மூதாதையர்கள், மற்றும் நம்பிக்கையில் உறங்கும் அனைவரையும் நாம் சிறப்பாக நினைவுகூர்கிறோம். இன்றைய வாசகங்கள், மரணம் என்பது முடிவல்ல, அது உயிர்ப்பின் நுழைவாயில் என்ற ஆழமான உண்மையை நமக்கு உணர்த்துகின்றன.

எசேக்கியேலின் தரிசனம்

முதல் வாசகத்தில் இறைவாக்கினர் எசேக்கியேல் காணும் தரிசனம், நம்பிக்கை இழந்த இஸ்ரயேல் மக்களுக்குக் கடவுள் தரும் மிகப்பெரிய ஆறுதல். பள்ளத்தாக்கில் கிடக்கும் உலர்ந்த எலும்புகளைப் பார்த்து, ஆண்டவர், "நான் உங்களுக்குள் உயிர்மூச்சு புகச் செய்வேன். நீங்களும் உயிர் பெறுவீர்கள்" என்கிறார்.

 * இது நமக்குச் சொல்லும் செய்தி என்ன? நம் அன்புக்குரியவர்களின் உடல்கள் மண்ணில் புதைக்கப்பட்டாலும், அது முடிவல்ல. கடவுள் அவர்களுக்குள் மீண்டும் தம் ஆவியைப் பொழிந்து, புது வாழ்வு அளிப்பார். நம்முடைய நம்பிக்கை, இந்த மண்ணுலகின் முடிவை மட்டும் பார்ப்பதல்ல; மாறாக, உயிர்த்தெழுதலில் உள்ள நித்திய வாழ்வை நோக்கிப் பார்ப்பது.

இயேசுவின் இரக்கம்

நற்செய்தியில், நயீன் நகர் விதவையின் ஒரே மகனை இயேசு உயிர்ப்பிக்கும் அற்புதக் காட்சியைக் காண்கிறோம். இயேசு, அந்தத் தாயின் துயரத்தைக் கண்டு, "அழாதீர்" என்று சொல்லி, "இளைஞனே, நான் உனக்குச் சொல்கிறேன், எழுந்திடு" என்று கட்டளையிடுகிறார்.

 * இயேசுவின் இந்தச் செயல், அவருடைய அன்பையும், இரக்கத்தையும், மரணத்தின்மீது அவருக்குள்ள அதிகாரத்தையும் வெளிப்படுத்துகிறது. நம்முடைய அன்புக்குரியவர்களுக்காக நாம் சிந்தும் ஒவ்வொரு கண்ணீரையும் ஆண்டவர் காண்கிறார். இந்த விதவையின் மகனை அவர் உயிர்ப்பித்ததுபோல, இறுதி நாளில் நம் அனைவரையும் உயிர்ப்பிக்கும் வாக்குறுதியை நமக்கு அளிக்கிறார்.

இன்று, நம் அன்பானவர்களை நினைவுகூரும்போது, நம்முடைய செபங்கள் அவர்களுக்கு உதவ முடியும் என்ற நம்பிக்கையோடு செபிப்போம். மரணம் என்பது பிரிவல்ல; மாறாக, அவர்கள் கடவுளுடன் நித்திய இளைப்பாறுதலுக்குச் சென்றுள்ளார்கள். அவர்களுக்காக நாம் செபிப்போம்; நாமும் புனிதர்களாக வாழ, கடவுளின் உதவியைக் கேட்போம்.

 * நமது அழைப்பு: நாமும் வாழும்போதே, நித்திய வாழ்வுக்குத் தகுதியானவர்களாக, பாவக்கறையற்றவர்களாக, கிறிஸ்துவின் அன்பில் நிலைத்திருக்க முயற்சி செய்வோம். ஏனெனில், "மரித்தவர்கள் மீண்டும் உயிர்பெறுவார்கள்" என்பதே நமது அழியாத நம்பிக்கை.

ஆண்டவருக்காகக் காத்திருப்போம்! மன உறுதியோடு இருப்போம்!

The Unwavering Hope of Resurrection

Today, November 2nd, as we observe the Commemoration of All the Faithful Departed, or All Souls’ Day, we specifically remember and pray for our beloved family members, ancestors, and all who have died in the hope of Christ. The readings today powerfully remind us that death is not the end, but a doorway to eternal life rooted in God’s promise.

Ezekiel’s Vision

In the First Reading, the prophet Ezekiel is given a vision of a valley filled with dry bones. This vision is a profound message of comfort and hope to the disheartened people of Israel. The Lord commands Ezekiel to prophesy to the bones, saying, “I will put my spirit in you and you shall live.”

 * What is the message for us? Even though the bodies of our loved ones have returned to dust, it is not a finality. God promises to pour out His Spirit upon them, granting them new life. Our faith does not focus only on the earthly demise, but on the everlasting life in the Resurrection.

Jesus’ Compassion

The Gospel presents the miracle of Jesus raising the son of the widow of Nain. Seeing the mother’s deep sorrow, Jesus is moved with pity and says, “Do not weep,” and commands the young man, “Young man, I tell you, arise!”

 * This act reveals Jesus' love, compassion, and authority over death. The Lord sees every tear we shed for our departed. Just as He restored the widow's son, He offers us the promise of resurrection on the last day.

Today, as we remember our dear ones, we pray with confidence, knowing that our prayers can aid them in their final purification, allowing them to fully enter the eternal rest with God. Death is not a separation, but a transition to the final glory.

 * Our Call: Let us strive to live lives worthy of that eternal home—lives of sanctity, free from the stains of sin, rooted in the love of Christ. For the fundamental truth of our faith is: "the dead will rise again."

Let us wait for the Lord! Be strong and let your heart take courage!
