👑 இயேசு கிறிஸ்து அனைத்துலக அரசர் பெருவிழா: சிலுவையில் ஆளும் அரசன்

இன்றைய திருவிழா, நம் திருவழிபாட்டு ஆண்டின் உச்சத்தையும் முடிவையும் குறிக்கிறது. இயேசு கிறிஸ்து ஒரு குறிப்பிட்ட இனத்திற்கோ அல்லது நாட்டிற்கோ மட்டும் அரசர் அல்ல, அவர் அனைத்துலகிற்கும், அனைத்துப் படைப்புகளுக்கும் நித்தியமான அரசர் என்ற பேருண்மையை நாம் கொண்டாடுகிறோம்.

ஆயர் என்ற அரசபதவி (முதல் வாசகம் - 2 சாமு 5:1-3):

   தாவீது, இஸ்ரயேலின் அரசராகத் திருப்பொழிவு செய்யப்பட்டார். மக்கள் அவரைத் தங்கள் எலும்பும் சதையுமானவராக ஏற்றுக்கொண்டு, தங்களை வழிநடத்தும் ஆயனாகக் கண்டனர். இயேசுவே இந்த அரசபதவியை நிறைவுசெய்பவர். அவர் நம்மை வழிநடத்தி, பராமரிக்கும் உண்மையான பரம ஆயர் ஆவார்.

படைப்பின் மேலாதிக்கர் (இரண்டாம் வாசகம் - கொலோ 1:12-20):

   திருத்தூதர் பவுல், இயேசுவின் அரச தன்மையை விவரிக்கிறார். அவர் கட்புலனாகாத கடவுளின் சாயலாகவும், படைப்பனைத்திற்கும் மேலானவராகவும் இருக்கிறார். விண்ணிலுள்ளவை, மண்ணிலுள்ளவை அனைத்தும் அவருக்காகவே படைக்கப்பட்டன. அவரது ஆளுகை, உலக அரசியலுக்கு அப்பாற்பட்டது; அது பேரண்டத்தின் மீதான ஆளுகை.

கருணையின் அரியாசனம் (நற்செய்தி வாசகம் - லூக்கா 23:35-43):

   இயேசுவின் அரசபதவியின் உச்சக்கட்டத்தை நாம் சிலுவையிலேயே காண்கிறோம். அவர் அரியாசனத்தில் அமரவில்லை, மாறாக சிலுவையில் தொங்கிக் கொண்டிருக்கிறார். ஆட்சியாளர்கள் அவரைப் பழிக்கிறார்கள். ஆனால், குற்றவாளிகளில் ஒருவன், தனது பாவத்தை உணர்ந்து, "இயேசுவே, நீர் ஆட்சியுரிமை பெற்று வரும்போது என்னை நினைவிற்கொள்ளும்" என்று வேண்டுகிறான். இயேசுவின் பதில், "நீர் இன்று என்னோடு பேரின்ப வீட்டில் இருப்பீர்" என்பதே அவருடைய அரச சட்டம். அவர் தனது சிலுவையின் வழியாகவே ஆளுகிறார்; அவரது முடிசூட்டு விழா இரக்கத்தாலும் மன்னிப்பாலும் நடத்தப்படுகிறது.

நடைமுறை வாழ்வுக்கான அழைப்பு

கிறிஸ்து அரசராக இருக்கும்போது, நமது வாழ்க்கை முறையும் மாற வேண்டும். நமது நம்பிக்கையின் அடையாளம் சிலுவையாக இருக்க வேண்டும். உலகத் தகுதிகள், அதிகாரங்கள், பகட்டு ஆகியவற்றைத் தேடாமல், தியாகம், பணிவு மற்றும் கருணை நிறைந்த வாழ்க்கையால் நாம் கிறிஸ்துவின் ஆட்சியை இவ்வுலகில் நிறுவ வேண்டும். அவர் நம்மைத் தமது இராஜ்யத்திற்குள் ஏற்றுக்கொள்வதற்குத் தகுதியானவர்களாக வாழ, இடைவிடாமல் அவரிடம் மன்றாடுவோம்.

👑 The Solemnity of Christ the King: A King who Reigns from the Cross

Today's celebration marks the conclusion and climax of the liturgical year. We proclaim the fundamental truth that Jesus Christ is not just a king over a nation, but the eternal and universal King over all creation.

The Revelation of Kingship

 The Shepherd King (First Reading - 2 Sam 5:1-3):

   David was anointed king over Israel, acknowledged by the tribes as their own flesh and blood and the one who would shepherd them. Jesus fulfills this blueprint perfectly. He is the Good Shepherd and the promised Son of David, whose reign brings unity and ultimate peace to God's people.

 The Cosmic Ruler (Second Reading - Col 1:12-20):

   St. Paul provides the majestic definition of Christ’s kingship. He is the Image of the invisible God and the Firstborn of all creation. Everything, visible and invisible, was created through Him and for Him. His dominion is not merely political; it is cosmic authority over all powers and principalities. Crucially, the means by which He reconciles the universe to God is by making peace through the blood of His cross.

 The Throne of Mercy (Gospel Reading - Luke 23:35-43):

   The Gospel shows the paradoxical nature of this Kingship. Jesus' throne is the Cross a place of public humiliation and weakness. The rulers mocked Him, daring Him to save Himself. Yet, the "good thief," in an act of profound faith, recognized the King in His utter defenselessness and prayed: "Jesus, remember me when you come into your kingdom." Christ's regal response, "Today you will be with me in Paradise," is the ultimate act of kingly mercy and divine authority. He conquers sin and death, not with a sword, but with forgiveness.

Call to Action in the Kingdom

To acknowledge Christ as King is to accept His rule of sacrifice and love in our lives. We are called to embody the values of His Kingdom, which stand in stark contrast to the values of the world. Instead of seeking power, wealth, and prestige, we must seek humility, service, and mercy.

May our daily lives be a testament to His reign, recognizing that our true citizenship lies in the Kingdom of the one who was crowned with thorns to grant us eternal life.
